Rambunctious Ratios 3

  Rambunctious Ratios

We are learning to use multiplication and division to solve proportion and ratios problems.

A prime number is: numbers that a time by itself and one

A factor is: numbers that times to make that number

A multiple is: like doing your times table 2 times table 2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20

15 x 125 = 1875

Word problem of the week:
For every 8 girls in a school, there are 12 boys. If there are 120 students in the school, how many
girls and boys are there in the school?

Wicked word problems!

  1. If 4 loaves of bread feed 12 children for a week, how many loaves would 156 children need?

  1. If the ratio is 4:5 then it is also 48:60  4x12=48 5x12=60

 25x 4= 100 100x6=600  4x6=24 25x24=600

Task Description: this is level 3 on ratios. We are learning to use multiplication and division to solve proportion and ratios problems. This work was really hard to work out but I just took my time and tried my best to solve it.
