   Rambunctious
Ratios

            We are learning to use multiplication and division to solve proportion and ratios problems.

Multiplication and Division Practice.

Work these problems out in your mind and discuss your strategies with your group. Show a couple
of strategies below, but the rest of the questions can just be answered

  1. 29 x 20 = 580         2. 33 x 15 =  495             3. 76 x 24 =  1824 4.   65 x 17 =  1104

      5.    72 x 15 =  1430 6.   33 x 16 = 528 7.   34 x 31 = 1054                      8. 42 x 26 = 1092

      9.   90 ÷ 30 = 3            10. 280 ÷ 40  =  7                 11. 300 ÷ 12 = 25             12.   625 ÷ 25 = 25

Word problem of the week:

and boys are there in the school?   12 boys and 48 girls

people                                     16 people is 15 8x2=16 30/2=15 24 people is 5

  1. It takes 3 minutes to hang out 12 items of clothing. How long will it take to hang out 36 items?

               4x3=12        3x3=9
